Some say land is the best investment, while others say putting your money in the bank for a time deposit is the safest. Others invest in farm lands while others invest in real estates. But it needs hundred thousand or million of pesos to acquire a farm lot or a real estate. Then another cash out for the development of such property before it could be sold to a much higher market value. If I am going to invest, I would like the kind that needs just thousands and not millions and doesn’t need a lot of effort so I am thinking investing inĀ gold coins or silver coins is one thing that suits my preference. I’ll just have to buy gold coins, have it delivered in my address or keep in bank’s safe, then wait for the time that market value for gold is at its highest so I could sell some of it. Nice idea, right? Hope it’s easy as I thought it would be.

What a day! After weeks, we decided to see a dermatologist. She’s our derma years ago so we’re not seeing other doctor to keep our records intact. Ace’ feet was infected as it is obviously swelling while I am suffering from my wounds for weeks already. I am so hesitant before because I wanted to self-medicate. But instead of making my feet healed, it worsen because of the liquid that I am spraying. After more than 4 hours of waiting, the dermatologist finally checked our feet. It took us around ten minutes and the check-up was done. The consultation fee? More than twice the rate before so I was really shocked! Then we went to the hospital’s pharmacy to buy the medicines and topical ointments that were prescribed for us. I was mentally calculating how much everything will cost and my rough estimate is one thousand five hundred (PhP1,500). I told Ace about my estimate so when the pharmacy attendant told me to pay Three Thousand Six Hundred Eight pesos (PhP3,608.00), our jaws dropped. Ace’ antibiotics and anti-inflammatory are so expensive! It is really expensive to be sick! All in all, with just the check-up and medicines, our damage is almost five thousand. That’s huge amount for just the medicines for a feet infection. We could have saved the money for future use such that it could already buy gold coins as an investment. But Ace said he could reimburse the medicine expenses and portion of the consultation fee. So I am relieved. At least we don’t have to spend our own money for the medicines. Thanks God for such generous employer!

I am starting to save! Yay! I read from a magazine to pay off oneself (for working hard) first before anything else every time you receive your earnings. That means, allotting a percentage of the total earnings for yourself as savings before everything goes to the bills and other stuffs. So yesterday, I overcome that desire to withdraw all my blogging earnings from my paypal. Ten percent was transferred to Ace’ account for safekeeping. I really wish I won’t be tempted to withdraw it next time. I am planning to keep the money there until it is big enough to start a business venture or it could already buy gold bullion for an investment. Wish I could keep up to my commitment to save a portion of my earnings. Hence, no shopping for personal stuffs for the meantime. Just home stuffs.LOL
