Slipcovers

We bought a sofa set last December from Ace’ annual bonus. We are actually torn between a hardwood living room set or a sofa that is more comfortable. However, we ended with a sofa set made of suede cloth. It’s really nice but our problem is maintaining the cover. We are just very careful in lounging in the sofa. Imagine having a melancholic husband who checks on it every now and then if it’s soiled or not. We are planning to get custom slipcovers to protect it from dirt and stains. But while we don’t have that custom slipcovers for our sofa yet, we need to prevent it from getting soiled as we cannot just pull out the cover and wash it.

Ace’ first Loalde

Ace’ first top from LOALDE (proudly local brand). I so love the color and I am glad he likes it too.

Thoughts of moving

We are counting months before another move (crossing my fingers!). The other day Ace received a text message from the developer of the subdivision where we reserved a house and lot informing him to secure the lacking Pag-Ibig requirements ASAP. The paranoid in me kicked in so I told Ace to tell the developer (or whoever it is who texted him) that we need to check a finished house (with the same design as what we applied for) before submitting the requirements for we cannot back out once Pag-Ibig approves Ace’ housing loan. Which means, whether we like the house or not, or the project will push through or not, the loan has been released and it cannot be returned to Pag-Ibig. Ace didn’t receive a reply so we will wait for another follow-up text and I will still insist what I wanted to happen. Anyway, I am hoping things will turn out fine so I am preparing my self for another move. Nope, we don’t need the services of cross country moving companies, just the local movers. I will insist on getting a moving company this time because I don’t wanna stress myself too much. Oh well, moving is stressful and tiring so I don’t wanna experience it again. If only there’s a company here that will pack, move and unpack, that will be good but I cannot just trust anybody to do the packing so I might as well slowly pack things out weeks before the move. Hope it will be less tiring on the next move!

No choice

Vacation mode is over but I still have hang-over for the long weekend that was spent in the country’s capital. Feels like I am still in Metro Manila enjoying our stay with Ace’ younger sister – Borski and her hubby – Nai. Even Ace has hang-over too as he was telling me yesterday how short our vacation was. Oh well, next time we’ll make sure it’ll be long enough to cover everything that we wanted to do, we wanted to visit and we wanted to meet. Maybe next year that’ll become a reality. Now I’m back to work, no choice!

Watching movies at home

It’s been decades (of course this is an exaggeration!) since I and Ace watched a movie. Sometimes we love watching movies (yes, I am beginning to love it but I am too picky) but since the time that I started to doze off in the middle of a movie, he thinks it’s not worth it to pay for a good seat at the theater when I don’t watch the movie from start to finish. Hence we’re just watching movies at home. At one point he got himself a bluray (of course not the original one) copy of a movie and he loved the quality. Since then he makes sure what he gets are bluray copy and not the ordinary DVD copy. Of course I do have my share….he got me a Mamma Mia (my ever fave) and other movies that he thinks I would love (because I am more into love story, comedy and animated films). Speaking of movies, the last one that I watched and have laughed so hard is The Proposal. I hope to watch another one soon. It’s a great way to kill boredom.
