Loaded weekend

This must be a vey BUSY weekend! Though this would not be the first busy weekend in my entire online career but this time it’s different. I am swamped with work and BUSY must be an understatement. First, I have reports to finish in my fulltime job; second, I have tons of online tasks that was just given out yesterday and today and will be due tomorrow; third, I have new writing endeavor that needs a lot of time to finish and it’s due by Monday. No matter what, I am so thankful for all the work opportunities that come my way.

Anyway, before breaking a leg and finish as many tasks that I can today like looking around for life insurance leads, I wanted to relax first and this photo with some of my HS classmates is enough for me to forget about my workload for a while.

On leave

I didn’t report for work because I feel sick. I am also tired with all my activities since Monday. Seems my body is giving in since the other night so I called for a leave at work. I am not at my best to work, much more being awake until the wee hours in the morning. Hence it’s better to call the day off so I can sleep earlier. But before I make my tea and hit the bed after drinking it, I should head to jenny craig reviews. I heard it’s a weight loss plan at a very affordable price. Hmmm…let’s see if it’s true. But don’t count me in, I will just check.LOL

Learning new careers

I have changed careers or better to say I have learned new careers in just a span of two years. When I was taking my degree, my goal is to land a job in Human Resources and probably grow old in that career. I love the limelight being an HR practitioner but it all changed when I changed my civil status…errr….I get married. I realized my goal should be a hands on wife and mother (to our future kids). Work was too stressful then that made me decide to quit my day job, stay at home and focus on blogging. After a year, I ventured to another career that is not in line with my degree, not with my work experience. A job in marketing was offered to me. Who wouldn’t say no to that sweet offer? So I grabbed the opportunity. I am loving it because I am learning a lot! Now I am just wondering what other careers in store for me. Lord knows! I am just open for other possibilities. :-)

Job sites

During my job hunting days years ago, I’ve been a frequent visitor of online job sites but my online search isn’t that successful because only few companies here in Davao considered posting online as one way of sourcing applicants. Lately the trend has changed. Local companies are now getting applicants from online job sites and I find it convenient for applicants who can access the internet. Sorry for those who are still living in the stone age who doesn’t know how to use the net as an avenue for them to land a job. Also, many bloggers are now maintaining job posting sites like the philly jobs .com that is very helpful both to the applicants and the companies. So if I would decide to go back in the rat race, it’s easier for me to find jobs that I am qualified. Hmmm…not now, I am not yet bored here at home. :-)

Winter experience

Work is mentally draining and weather is not cooperating. It’s been humid! I thought it’s going to rain but no rainfall the past days so I am wishing to rain later tonight. At this time I wish to experience winter in breckenridge for a change. It is so ironic that people from this side of the planet are wishing for snow while people who are experiencing winter hates that freezing weather! Maybe a winter experience once in a lifetime is enough, for me at least.
