I haven’t spent much time outside the house these days. I miss going out to breath fresh air during the night because it’s been raining over here almost every night! And if I stay outside more than a couple of minutes, I need a mosquito repellent because I am so prone to mosquito bites. Seems like my blood is so sweet for the mosquitoes that I am one of their fave targets. If I would want to stay outside for long, maybe an outdoor fireplaces is what I need. I’ll put something in the fireplace like a citronella leaves to burn and work as insect repellent. Let’s wait until the rainy season is over and I’ll be going out during the night often.

It’s more than a year now since we bought the thickest (I guess) rubberized foam mattress. It does eliminate my backaches due to the uneven surface of the old spring bed that we were using since then. But after sometime, we noticed the mattress would also sink in at the middle of the bed. Since the bed is not flat, foam will definitely follow its “contours”. Hence we decided to return the spring bed to PILs when we moved here and we laid down the foam mattress on the floor. Such a nice feeling lying in a firm mattress that lays flat on the floor. So when Ace moves in his sleep, I won’t be disturbed unlike with the bed that I would wake up from deep slumber every time toss and turn. Since then, I am also backache free!

At times I am pissed at our dogs for staying by the front door with their dirty paws. I get tired of wiping the tiles clean from time to time so I sometimes leave it as is. We’re not having visitors, anyway. To prevent the tiles from getting muddy, I was thinking of getting a mat like those floor mats used in cars. At least when it accumulates some dirt I just have to shake it off and put it back again. I don’t need to keep on wiping the floor with wet rug to remove the dirt. Ace is not amenable with that idea so I didn’t get a mat. Maybe if he’ll get the chance to wipe the floor more than once in a day, he will agree to what I was saying.
