Feeling great

We’re fine now! After days of feeling under the weather with Ace nursing a fever that doesn’t subside despite of the medicines that he’s taking and me feeling sick for all the work load, we’re up and running now. We were able to attend a friend’s wedding last Saturday afternoon despite Ace’ slight fever and headache. It was so nice seeing some of HS classmates whom I haven’t seen for years. OMGoodness, we really had fun during the wedding. After the wedding we went out with my HS classmates. They had light beer and I had a can of Coke. Ace’ fever has subsided but he still has slight headache. After a few bottles of beer and a super laugh trip (that Doc Penchie even complained about her facial muscles starting to get numb because of so much laughing. Oh well, it’s the best than anti wrinkle treatment so I always love laugh trip moments. To cap the night off, we went to a local eatery that serves sumptuous beef stew made of beef shanks and marrow bones. Goodness, it tastes great! Imagine eating Bulalo at past 1 in the morning? The laugh trip doesn’t end at the bar but we continued it over big bowls of Bulalo. The end result, I and Ace must have released so much “happy” hormones that we weren’t able to sleep until 5AM. However, we felt great!

On leave

I didn’t report for work because I feel sick. I am also tired with all my activities since Monday. Seems my body is giving in since the other night so I called for a leave at work. I am not at my best to work, much more being awake until the wee hours in the morning. Hence it’s better to call the day off so I can sleep earlier. But before I make my tea and hit the bed after drinking it, I should head to jenny craig reviews. I heard it’s a weight loss plan at a very affordable price. Hmmm…let’s see if it’s true. But don’t count me in, I will just check.LOL

Dark circles

Just came back from grocery shopping. I went alone because Ace is still nursing a fever. I bought our pets’ foods, fruits and veggies because I can’t find time to go to the market to get the fruits and veggies so better get it from the supermarket at the mall to save time. Besides, I need to meet my friend who’s going to be married whose big day is tomorrow. After my grocery shopping, I went to Chowking where the couple is waiting. I’m supposed to reproduce a copy of their wedding ceremony program but since Ace is sick and I just can’t leave him at home to attend to those errands, they thought it’s better if they will be the ones to reproduce it tomorrow. The soft copy of the program is with them already. Besides, they still need to show the program to their officiating minister tonight so printing and reproducing will be tomorrow morning.

It’s one day to go before the big day and I noticed my friend’s eye has dark circles. Maybe she got it from her sleepless nights at work for more than a year. So that explains why it’s not that easy for those dark circles to disappear instantly. Oh well, there’s nothing to worry about. She can use concealer to hide those dark circles tomorrow.

Not yet over

It’s almost a week and I still can’t get over bragging about my bag. Obviously, I love it so much! Indeed, patience is a virtue and it pays off to wait for the right time. I’ve been dreaming to have one bag that is worth keeping and passing on to the next generation. First I dreamt to have an LV but having one is next to impossible so I settled with Coach. It’s more affordable. After months of deciding which is which, I finally settled with a Heritage Stripe Zip Satchel.

Bought this from Faye, a fellow blogger who sells products from US with a minimal mark up. I chose to buy from her because I am 100% sure that I’ll receive the item…safe and without damage. Check out her items for you might find your dream bag there.

So much about my Satchy (that’s what I named my bag) and time to check out for natural adult acne treatments to add to my compilation of natural and home remedies for skin care. I just love compiling and reading those stuffs.

Success stories

Hearing stories of happily married couple tested through time is inspiring. It’s what I am looking forward to in every wedding reception or any other gathering where married couple share their wisdom to others. I heard a lot of stories. Different views, different ways of dealing with married couple’s challenges. But one thing is constant. Unconditional love and acceptance. I haven’t heard happy stories of married couple with a nagging wife. I haven’t heard success stories of couple with the other half fixing the partner according to her standard. I haven’t heard married men brag about their wive’s inability to learn and fulfill a homemaker’s duties – that is happily doing the wife and mommy duties with all her heart without resentment. With happy couples, I never heard wives getting tired of nannying a child. In fact, as much as they want they won’t be separated with their child even for an hour. They always brag about the milestones of their child because they feel proud that their child is learning something from what they are teaching and not from what the child got from the cartoon shows that has been accompanying him/her throughout his/her waking hours.

With my five years of working in a male-dominated environment, I’ve heard and learned a lot. Men loves bragging about their wife’s dishes, in keeping the home organized, in taking care of the children, and all other areas that a wife and a mother does. It only means, those men are really proud of their wives.

Marriage success stories are so inspiring to those who are working hard in making their family grow together. It is actually inspiring as weight loss success stories for those who are working hard to trim down. We drew inspiration and motivation from people who have been there and have learned a lot from their experiences.
