Al fresco times

Like a simple life in the province, we used to spend time outdoors or should I say, Al Fresco and that’s what I missed here in the city. Back then we could just laze and sit under the shade of a tree, have a good chat or nap, or even eat out! Nope, not eat in a restaurant, eat outside of the house which we usually does until now when we are in my hometown.

Now if we’ll have our own house (which I am not sure when we could have it because I believe in Robert Kiyosaki’s principle that it is not an ASSET), I would love it to be in a large lot (okey, I’ve got no question in having large lot because it’s an asset. It appreciates, and not depreciates). Just a simple house with a grand kitchen, a large lawn and garden where we could spend fun times outdoors. It would then be nice to have outdoor furnitures with matching outdoor pillows to make bonding time outdoors more comfortable and fun. I really hope my future children could experience the fun and simple life in the province.

Longs and Shorts

What is the longest you’ve gone between haircuts? More than a year in preparation for my wedding.

What is the shortest hour of the day? I think it’s during morning when Hubby prepares for work because he’s usually running out of time!LOL

What is the longest line you’ve ever stood in? It was during enrollment in the University I graduated.

Who’s your shortest adult friend? Hmmmm…I am the shortest among my friends!

Who among your current friends have you known the longest? My classmates since Grade 1 until HS and still, they’re my friends until now….Doc Jaja and Michael.

Diamonds are forever

Jewelries are not part of my life. Really. I don’t own any set except for my wedding ring and I don’t know why I don’t even have the desire to own one this time. Just even getting fancy ones to accessorize my get-up, I can’t convince myself to buy even a pair of earrings. But the case may be different when somebody will give me diamonds. I would gladly accept it (who would refuse a nice gift?) especially if its one of the diamond rings of Reeds Jewelers. I must be very special to the one who will hand me that ring. Now I am daydreaming!

Lucky and spoiled

It’s been a week, I think, when I posted about my plan on blog makeover but sad to say, I am too preoccupied with other things. So the plan remained pending and I don’t know if I can find time to materialize it soon. For the mean time, I will leave this blog as is.

For update on Puto and Maya’s food, Ace was able to buy at Handyman when I was in Kabacan. So the two are now enjoying their usual dog food. Kiaw-Kiaw, on the other hand, was on diet for 2 days. I am not in the mood to go to the market to buy fish for him so Daddy bought at the nearby fish vendor. When he went there, only milk fish was left, no small fishes so we got no choice but to feed him with milk fish but he didn’t eat that much. He just ate the tail. Yesterday, I obliged myself to go to the market to buy him fish so he must be happy now that he has his fave small fishes. That cat is so picky! He won’t eat if he’s not seeing the whole fish (with head and tail) in his plate. So even if we feed him fish, if it’s not the whole fish, he won’t eat it. When Ace arrived last night seeing me frying Kiaw-Kiaw’s fishes (I got a kilo for him), he uttered “what a lucky cat!”. Yes, lucky and spoiled!

Dog food

It’s been days that we feed Puto and Maya with leftover. I am glad that Maya now eats human food because she’s so picky. She doesn’t want rice. All she wanted is meat or fish…if we are not feeding her with dog food that we used to buy in Robinson’s Handyman. The last time we were in Robinson’s Cybergate, we saw dog food but it’s not the same brand as what we are buying in Handyman so I told Ace maybe Handyman (just outside the grocery) has stocks of Dog Chow. So after we paid for the grocery, which then took us too long to wait in line, Ace went inside the hardware to check for the dog food. They don’t have stock in the hardware and we didn’t want to wait in line again in the grocery just for the dog food so we decided to feed the dogs with leftover for the time being.

Talking about the grocery experience in Cybergate, it was fine. I love it better than the older supermarkets in the city especially their meat and fish section. The barcode scanner is the same as with the other supermarkets but I didn’t paid much attention to it if it was handheld like a  Symbol LS2208 (a compact gun-type laser scanner) that I saw online. The barcode scanner is indeed a great help in efficiency and productivity but what I loved most is their set-up in bagging the goods. The grocery bags are set-up in such a way that it’s ready to take in goods just after the cashier finished scanning it. The grocery bags are kinda hanging with steel prongs holding the two handles. So it would be easier for the bagger to pack the goods inside the bag.

Now back to the dog food, we checked at Handyman last Tuesday but only food for puppies are available. So Ace dropped by at Cybergate last night to get a dog food but it’s out of stock. Ha! So Maya and Puto has no choice but to eat rice and sardines because no way we will buy other brands which is way too expensive than the one we are buying for them (that’s the reason why even if Handyman’s stock would almost reach their ceiling, it wouldn’t last for days). I hope next week, we could get them their dog food.
