I have changed careers or better to say I have learned new careers in just a span of two years. When I was taking my degree, my goal is to land a job in Human Resources and probably grow old in that career. I love the limelight being an HR practitioner but it all changed when I changed my civil status…errr….I get married. I realized my goal should be a hands on wife and mother (to our future kids). Work was too stressful then that made me decide to quit my day job, stay at home and focus on blogging. After a year, I ventured to another career that is not in line with my degree, not with my work experience. A job in marketing was offered to me. Who wouldn’t say no to that sweet offer? So I grabbed the opportunity. I am loving it because I am learning a lot! Now I am just wondering what other careers in store for me. Lord knows! I am just open for other possibilities. :-)

We bought a sofa set last December from Ace’ annual bonus. We are actually torn between a hardwood living room set or a sofa that is more comfortable. However, we ended with a sofa set made of suede cloth. It’s really nice but our problem is maintaining the cover. We are just very careful in lounging in the sofa. Imagine having a melancholic husband who checks on it every now and then if it’s soiled or not. We are planning to get custom slipcovers to protect it from dirt and stains. But while we don’t have that custom slipcovers for our sofa yet, we need to prevent it from getting soiled as we cannot just pull out the cover and wash it.

I don’t have a Valentine’s Day toys or anything but what I have is my husband’s second wife – his Honda Wave Dash that we got a week after his birthday last month.

Since I learned green shopping (read: online shopping), I can’t just get over it. I wish the stores are located here in the country so that shipping will not be that much! I already have a list of the things that I would be buying online thus I am saving for it. This time, its all household stuffs because I am done with our personal gratifying stuffs (I really hope I am!) and trying to avoid the temptation of those nice to have personal loots. Need to be serious on saving for the household loots. Anyway I still have months to go before Black Friday sale so I might have enough funds to fill a “balikbayan” box that time. What’s good with my shopping spree lately is the fact that Ace didn’t mind it at all. I mean, not like other husbands who questions their wives’ expenses or worst, not amenable with wives buying stuffs for themselves. :-) I am just lucky!LOL

I was eating my late lunch alone (yes, I am all alone during daytime again because Che2x is now working) when another idea to make our future abode homey pop up. Since I am into photography for almost two years, I know how it sucks to have purely flourescent lights inside the house. That’s why I don’t like my indoor shots at night especially during those time that we don’t have an external flash yet. I fairly know what kind of lights I want. I want something warm. I don’t want tungsten lights. Besides, there should be many lights aside from the main one. If we can’t install overhead light then maybe wall lamps and floor lamps would do. So the visual look of our future little palace is almost complete. And when everything’s settled, I mean, we already have a home, getting home insurance quote from different insurance companies will be the next thing to do. Hope everything will fall into place as expected.
